What's on

Now open 10am - 4pm weekdays.

With exclusive access to documents and objects that commemorate some of Victoria's most significant historical moments, the Victoria Police Museum provides a unique experience for visitors and school groups.

The Victoria Police Museum offers an immersive experience from the beginnings that detail the establishment of Victoria Police, through to modern policing and technology.

Explore our exhibitions and events

Our unique collection of permanent objects, displays and documents includes Australia's largest collection of Kelly Gang armour. Explore the years of societal change of the 20th century, world conflicts that show the dual role police have in wartime and on peacekeeping missions, and the equipment used by police.

Uncover some of the major investigations, including forensics and major crimes, and a section dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Our temporary exhibitions also showcase Victoria’s social and cultural history, beginning with our family-friendly exhibition on police animals.

Summer Saturdays

Back by popular demand, we’re offering Summer Saturdays at the Victoria Police Museum.

We will be open on Saturday the 6th of January, the 27th of January and the 3rd of February 2024, from 11am to 3pm.
